How to prepare the ground
Carrots prefer fertile, loose soil with humus content. In the spring, a week before planting, organic fertilizers are applied to the bed chosen for sowing, and they are dug up. Then level with a rake.
Seed preparation
Seeds of carrots, unlike radishes, germinate long enough due to the high content of essential oils. To speed up the germination process, the seeds should be placed in a cloth bag and dipped in warm water for several hours. Next, get and dry a little.
How to plant carrots
To get a bountiful harvest, you should follow some recommendations.
1. The soil on the prepared bed should be sprinkled with ashes and burst.
2. Grooves for planting should be well watered and be 2-2.5 cm deep.
3. The distance between the rows leave 15-20 cm, and between the seeds in the rows 3-5 cm.
4. Planting material placed in trenches is covered with earth or compost (not more than 1 cm).

Root Care
For the cultivation of carrots require uniform soil moisture throughout the growth. Before the first seedlings, the bed is watered abundantly, then the watering can be reduced to 2 times a week. After watering the soil is recommended to loosen, it will get rid of unwanted weeds.
